Noria Golf Club sits just 5 minutes from the heart of Marrakech, which makes it a great shout if you want proper golf without sacrificing the medina, rooftop dinners and late-night atmosphere the city's famous for. It's also straightforward to reach from the UK and Ireland, with plenty of direct flights and a flight time of around four hours from many airports.
This is a favourite with British golfers looking for a fun, playable round rather than a bruising championship slog. Off the tee it's generally forgiving, so mid-to-high handicappers can relax and swing freely, but it still asks a few questions as you get closer to the greens. If you're after a confidence-boosting round in the sun, Noria is a strong shout.
Expect water to come into play on several holes, strategic bunkering and enough variety in hole lengths to keep things moving from the first tee to the 18th. The setting mixes Moroccan character with modern conditioning, and it suits sociable groups who want a good round, a good laugh and still plenty left in the tank for the evening.
If you're building a multi-course Marrakech break, Noria works brilliantly as a warm-up round or a low-stress finale before you fly home.

Noria Golf Club, which was designed by the renowned golf course architect Steve Forrest whose work can be found across the globe, is the jewel in the crown of a new family resort which lies in the shadow of the epic snow-capped Atlas Mountains.
The course itself is comprised of 3 distinct loops of 6 (named Garden, Orchard and Dune) each have their very own individual landscape experience – making for a very interesting and enjoyable round of golf.
Noria Golf Club is complemented by a superb practice facility and clubhouse – the focal point for the resort which has been designed by Youssef Meheli, an acclaimed Moroccan architect.

Course has a lot of building work going on throughout it, so it was like playing golf in the middle of a building site , I imagine when work is complete it will be a very nice course

Course was decent but without any real “wow” holes. Yes, there’s a handful of square greens which is unusual but beyond that there’s nothing to make you stand back and be blown away by. Requires precision and accuracy. Greens were ok. Lots of building work going on but didn’t harm the experience

Front nine was tough to play and not in great condition back nine was great to play with quite a few short quirky holes that required a bit off thought to play. 9th and 18th holes are daunting to play with the water next to the green

Very good course, unfortunately, again, afterwards, the drinks were very expensive, only had one round. If they were cheaper, we would have had 4 rounds.

Enjoyed the day, it was very quiet on the course probably due to time of year. Nice signature hole on the 8th
