The O'Connor Jnr course was well laid out and challenging for all. It was important to keep tee shots on line as there were a lot of hazards for wayward drives. Again there were a lot of unrepaired pitch marks on the greens, but the overall condition of the course was very good.
Spanning the resort’s rich valley land, the O’Connor Jnr Course is the perfect complement to Nick Faldo’s more undulating creation. The great Christy was well aware of the natural Algarve terrain, and deliberately carved his course to take full advantage of indigenous features, particularly the stunning orange groves.
The Amendoeira O’Connor Jnr Course is a part of the famous Amendoeira Resort, found in the heart of the Algarve, the O’Connor can be matched up with other epic local courses to create a golf break to remember.
