We just returned from our 4-day golf tour of Kent and enjoyed it tremendously. St. George's Hill and Royal St.George's are very special and Royal Cinque Ports and Prince's are very decent strips of links. We had a great tour and everything went like clock-work. I will use Your Golf Travel again in future and will recommend it to others. Kind regards,

As part of Kent’s great triumvirate – in association with St George’s and Cinque Ports – Prince’s Golf Club is a classic seaside layout that remains at the heart of British golfing folklore. The 27 holes at Prince’s were once used for the qualifying event and the golf course has in the past hosted the Open Championship proper, underlining the fact that it is one of the United Kingdom’s best kept secrets.

Prince's Golf Club
Henry Cotton and Gene Sarazen are not only among the game’s greatest names, but are also at the head of the lengthy line of Prince’s admirers; among the accolades these golfing legends bestowed were “the greatest links course” and “Britain’s finest course”.
The layout itself is a classic seaside course in character, reflecting the inherent features of the local terrain. The humps, bumps and hollows created by the Kent coastline’s myriad of sand dunes are heaven-sent for golf, and course architect Charles Hutchings (1902 Amateur Champion) took full advantage.
Prince’s, like its visiting golfers, is always at the mercy of the elements, and the character of the golf course can alter dramatically with the wind. Rugged and unpretentious, Prince’s is pure links golf, and is without doubt one of the country’s brightest gems.
The Shore Course
The Shore course is the longest of the three 9 hole loops and as the name suggests, it follows along the shoreline south towards the lodge which is located at the entrance of the course.
Yardage: 3448 Yards
The Dunes Course
The Dunes course is an anticlockwise loop with 5 holes heading towards boundary of Royal St. George's and 4 holes heading the opposite direction back towards the start of the course where the original clubhouse was built.
Yardage: 3432 Yards
The Himalayas Course
The Himalayas course is the shortest of the three courses as it only has one par 5 and is known as the members favorite course.
Yardage: 3201 Yards

I really enjoyed my golf break at Prince's Golf Club. The setting is a bit remote but lovely and peaceful nonetheless.
The golf course was in good condition, especially the greens, and the service and staff attitude were right out of the top drawer. The manager, pro shop, and waiting staff were all friendly and helpful and we were made to feel like we were valued members of the club. The feel reminded me of my club at home. The Dunes and Shore loops are superior to the Himalaya, but management knows this and work is planned to improve the whole experience.
Transport from town is expensive, but I walked the public footpath through St. Georges to Sandwich for dinner and enjoyed it immensely. The manager, who was very friendly, actually gave me a ride to the station when I was leaving which was very generous.
The rooms at the Lodge are new and first rate. This golf break package is fantastic value for money and I am happy to recommend it to golfers looking for first class links golf at cut prices. I will indeed contact YGT for future golf breaks as the service was great. Top marks!
