REAL CLUB DE GOLF EL PRAT

Real Club De Golf El Prat is one of Spain's traditionally celebrated clubs, and is one that has had a turbulent recent history. The members played on Javier Arana's fantastic creation from 1954, and the layout was deemed so good that it frequently hosted the Spanish Open, most recently in 1998.

With the continued expansion of Barcelona's international airport, the decision makers at El Prat were forced to move to a new site north of the city. Alfonso Viador sought the advice of Greg Norman in formulating the new layout, and the results are incredible.

The North Course is the star attraction of the 45-hole complex, and deservedly takes its place within the top 100 in continental Europe. Measuring over 7,000 yards, the championship course is no bargain; in fact, from the tournament tees, El Prat's North Course is one of Spain's sternest tests.
