Established in 1883, Royal Norwich Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of the city, and is its brightest golfing star. At 6,553 yards, it may not be the longest by today's standards, but its traditional design has enough subtlety to make Royal Norwich a satisfying test of golf.

The original design was more simplistic than the one in place today, which is largely due to the 1924 alterations completed by the great James Braid, who fashioned some of the United Kingdom's finest courses throughout an illustrious career.
Royal Norwich is a traditional layout, and is one that makes the most of the local terrain; though not long, it demands an excellent control of distance, and accuracy from the tee. As part of a golf tour in the charming Norfolk city, Royal Norwich is a golfing treat that should not be missed
