Just a short drive from the delightful city of Graz, home of body-builder turned governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Steiermarkischer Murhof is a truly serene and tranquil golfing venue. The original 1963 design was completely renovated in 2000 under the instruction of Michael Pinner. The main benefit of this programme has been the implementation of the finest drainage and irrigation systems, ensuring that the course itself remains in ideal shape during the warm months.
Naturally, the undulations of the terrain represent the most challenging facet of the golf course, and at the lower points, water hazards can play havoc with the score card. Skiing may be Austria's primary sporting attraction, but during the summer months, Steiermarkischer Murhof is an idyllic place to experience true mountain golf.
