Almenara Golf Club is one of Andalucia’s finest golfing destinations, right in the heart of Sotogrande and is home to three unique 9 hole loops (Los Lagos, Los Pinos and Alcornoques. Each track is special in their own right, so be sure to know that all of your game will be tested as you take on three Almenara loops.
Tidy up your skills at the Almenara Golf Academy
Almenara golf is home to their very own golf academy, which offers three practice holes, a driving range with 40 mats, chipping and bunker areas, and a large putting green. If you fancy getting some tips on your golf holiday, lessons can be arranged with the PGA professionals at a cost of €60 for 1 hour.
Get to know La Reserva Golf Club
La Reserva Golf Club only opened in 2003, so it is a relatively new addition to the stunning array of golf courses in the Andalucia region. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Cabell B. Robinson who has designed many other golf courses along the Costa Del Sol including Alcaidesa and La Cala.
From the championship tees, La Reserva measures at a monstrous 7049 yards, so it is even still a challenge for the golfing elite and with undulating greens, course management is key to ensure you have the best chance of making a par, or a birdie of course!
In 2014, the European Tour headed to La Reserva for the inaugural NH Collection Open. This was the first, such a big tournament had been held at La Reserva and the event attracted a star-studded field including the likes of the BEEEEEF and Ryder Cup players Thomas Pieters and Andy Sullivan.

Hotel Almenara is one of Sotogrande’s top hotels with plenty of outstanding leisure facilities such as the racquet centre, polo fields, horse riding school and the golf academy.
