In late 2006, the golfing world headed to Dublin as The K Club played host to The 2006 Ryder Cup matches, the first time The Ryder Cup has ever been held in Ireland. The world’s best players including Tiger Woods, Henrik Stenson and our very own Darren Clarke & Lee Westwood were all in action as they teed it up on the incredibly long stadium style Palmer Course. The Palmer Course

The Palmer Course which played host to The 2006 Ryder Cup matches is the ultimate championship course measuring at over 7, 350 yards. As the course name suggests, it was designed by golfing legend Arnold Palmer who has 95 professional wins to his name including 7 major victories.

The Smurfit Course

The Smurfit Course is slightly shorter than The Palmer, but is still a challenging test of golf with over 14 acres of water worked into the layout. Best to stock up on golf balls, as you may well see a few splashes when you take on the course.
