Mar Hall Golf Course to open in April

The deluxe Mar Hall Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort, located on the outskirts of Glasgow and within 10 minutes of the international airport, is set for a boost with the imminent opening of its signature championship golf course.

Set in secluded surroundings at the heart of a stunning estate near Bishopton, Scotland’s newest top end golf resort offers a luxury 53-bedroom hotel, whose highlights include fine dining in the Cristal Restaurant and Taittinger Bar, as well as extensive onsite facilities; already an established wedding and conference venue, Mar Hall has the only Aveda Concept Spa outside London, plus a phenomenal health and leisure club with a 20-metre swimming pool, saunas, steam room and gym.

The championship course has the benefit of the splendid natural terrain that existed on the Mar Hall estate, including mature woodland and views around the outstanding area along the banks of the River Clyde. With a par of 70, the 6,500 yard stretch will appeal to all golfers, and is a pleasant departure from the current trend of new courses well in excess of 7,000 yards.
