The links turf overlooking Cardigan Bay forms the basis of the traditional coastal golf course at Aberdovey Golf Club. This is the true essence of Aberdovey, in that the course is merely a reflection of the remarkable terrain.

Like many links courses created around the turn of the twentieth century, Aberdovey is very much an out and back loop, and is affected distinctly by the elements. The wind coming off the bay can range from a gentle breeze to a howling gale, transforming the character of the course in turn.
New tees for 2007 have lengthened the existing 6,445 yard layout in the hope of attracting more tournament golf to the links; having previously hosted a number of national amateur events, Aberdovey is a well established championship venue.
Visitors to Aberdovey are often enchanted by the atmosphere and setting of the club, which is unfussy and unpretentious. Add to this the superb course, and it is clear why so many choose Aberdovey as part of a fantastic golf tour on the Welsh coast.
