Donald Steel's excellent layout measures 6,807 yards from the championship tees, and while it is parkland in style, the designer has added a distinct links accent. No less than seven picturesque lakes are entwined into the course, some of which interfere with more than one hole, while the esteemed Steel has incorporated many interesting features, not least the St. Andrews-influenced double green for the 1st and 17th.
