Norfolk may not be internationally renowned for its nightlife, but Norwich is a surprisingly lively centre, particularly thanks to its large student population. The home of Alan Partridge has a great atmosphere, and is extremely welcoming for large groups.
The best way to combine a visit to Norwich with some excellent championship golf is to base yourself at one of two recommended resorts. Barnham Broom is well known throughout East Anglia, and its intimate and charming hotel is popular for its excellent service and comfort. Equally as attractive is De Vere’s Dunston Hall; this traditional property, with its stunning Elizabethan façade, is a beautiful starting point for a memorable Norwich golf tour.
Barnham Broom itself is home to two terrific championship courses, while Dunston Hall’s course is highly regarded in the local region. The golfing options do not stop with the resorts though, as in the city’s surroundings lie the courses at Great Yarmouth & Caister, and the fantastic Royal Norwich Golf Club.
