Measuring 6,839 yards, the Old is by no means the longest by modern standards, but it has certainly stood the test of time. Frank Pennink's original design has seen minor alterations, particularly in 1996 when a brand new clubhouse was also unveiled, but the course is predominantly the same as it was in its early days.
The attractive resort layout winds through the impressive pine trees that make the landscape so special, and Pennink's crafty design makes full use of the natural terrain to provide a terrific and memorable test of golf that is a must play for any golfing enthusiast.

The golf courses we played were all in excellent condition even accounting for the fact that some had been top-dressed. The courses at Victoria and the Old course I would single out for particular praise, Pinhal and Millennium were also a good test and required distance and accuracy but very enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in playing these again, many thanks,
