Southport & Ainsdale Golf Club was established in 1906 and is located in the North West of England. The revered James Braid conceived the original layout at Southport and Ainsdale and has created a very testing championship links golf course. Based on the coast, this golf course offers beautiful views, sea breeze and a profusion of heather and gorse giving this course something for everyone.

Over the years Southport and Ainsdale have hosted its fair share of golf competitions and the biggest being The Ryder Cup. S&A hosted these matches in 1933 and 1937 along with events like The Women's Open and The Amateur Championship. The club was a regular stop for final qualifying for The Open Championship when played at nearby Royal Birkdale Golf Club and has been voted one of the best 50 golf courses in Great Britain.

Located within a short drive of other sensational links golf courses including Hillside Golf Club, Formby Golf Club and West Lancashire Golf Club, a visit to this part of the North West of England is sure to be one of the very best golf tours you can enjoy within the UK.
