Being caught short while out on the course is something that any golfer can relate to. After imbibing one clubhouse coffee – or other refreshment – too many, the need to pee during a round of golf becomes too great to hold off and subsequently a mad dash is made to the nearest thicket in order to answer nature’s call.
While some courses place portaloos at regular intervals on the course for use in such emergencies, others aren’t so thoughtful but a new invention has addressed the problem of being caught short on the golf course – the UroClub; and this time it isn’t from JML but from US firm Matco Enterprises.
Resembling a normal seven-iron golf club, the UroClub ‘offers’ golfers a more discreet way to relieve themselves when out on the course. The device has a wider than normal gripping area around the shaft which actually houses a reservoir tank, which can hold over a half-litre of fluid and if you still need to spare your blushes while performing ablutions then there is even a handy ‘privacy towel’ for use to conceal the action.
The UroClub can sit discreetly in your golf bag and you can be sure it won’t leak thanks to its triple sealed screw-cap. However, the club isn’t intended for use in actual play, so make sure you use the correct seven-iron when playing!
