France Golf Review

Les Vignes CourseJust got back from our golf break in France and thought I would write to thank you for your help in organising it as everything went really well. Please see my review below:

Golf du Medoc is a fantastic resort for those looking to play on high quality golf courses that come hand in hand with top notch facilities. The Chateaux Course and the Vignes Course are both well conditioned and feature perfect fairways and really nice greens. The courses feel and play differently, which for a short break makes it seem as though you’ve visited different golf clubs…a real positive if you ask me! The practice facilities are all more than adequate and can be found in front of the clubhouse which is also very nice. We particularly enjoyed our food out on the balcony, which gives you a great view over the course.

The hotel is actually connected to the clubhouse, which obviously makes access to golf extremely convenient. Judging on the quality of our room, the accommodation offered in the hotel is of a very high standard and the facilities are also excellent. Food and drink is all very nice as well but can be a tad on the expensive side. However Bordeaux is only about 10 miles from the resort so it is possible to venture out in search of something else…we did not feel the need though as the quality of the food is always reflected in the price. The resort feels very much like a members club and everyone is very friendly including the reception staff, bar staff and pro shop assistants. Even the resort manager took time out to sit with us and asked how the stay was going and was very personable. The little things like this can be very important while away on a golf holiday and we felt right at home.

We will certainly be coming back because for golfers and non golfers alike there is plenty to do and everything we experienced was of the highest quality. Thank you again to Your Golf Travel for all your help.
