Woods’ ‘Tiger Slam’ irons for sale on eBay!

It’s not unknown for golfers to take to the course using old clubs that have served them well before in the past, and after missing the cut at last weekend’s Quail Hollow Championship current world number one Tiger Woods might want to think twice about selling off some of his old kit, and instead consider playing with them this weekend at TPC Sawgrass.

In recent years, Tiger has played using Nike rather than Titleist irons and has assisted in the design and development of his current playing gear which could make such a backward step tricky for the world number one.

But the guys over at BetInternet.com have picked up on a set of old Titleist irons which have appeared on eBay with the claim they are the irons Tiger himself used during his ‘Tiger Slam’.

As you might expect, the clubs carry a hefty price tag and are currently on offer for $250,000! Unsurprisingly, they have no bids yet although the auction still has eight days to run.

According to the item’s description the clubs are Tiger 681 Forged “T” Irons and Vokey Wedges, and were given to the seller as a gift by Woods himself. The clubs are in original shape with their original grips and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity to prove the seller’s claim.

They could make the ultimate Christmas or birthday present for the golfer who has everything; but beware – it’s unlikely the clubs will make their new owner play like Tiger!
