Just to let you know that we had a fantastic time on our golf break. The courses were great. Alamos was my favourite as I posted my best score. Salgados was the toughest course that I have ever played. It was as if 18 holes had been cut out and placed in the middle of the sea...I will be back to conquer that course!!! Just to let you know that our trip to Portugal went very well. The CS Sao Rafael is a good hotel and they upgraded us to a suite. The hotel appears fairly new and is well appointed. The staff are high calibre and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Sesmarias proved to be a quiet option (probably partly due to the time of year) sufficiently removed from the ultra-commercial Albufeira. This suited us well. Like many places in the region, much new building work is going on. So, whether Sesmarias will grow into a mini-Albufeira remains to be seen.
The three CS golf courses were good and in fine nick too. Salgados is flat but very tight with lots of water, lush fairways and good greens. Morgado proved a bit easier on the front nine which is relatively flat and more open. The back nine goes up into the hills (and wind) with some scenic holes which are a good test. Again, good greens. Alamos was the best in our view. A superb ‘ramble’ around the hill at the back of the clubhouse, with great views and many scenic holes. Good greens awaiting your arrival after some testing tee and fairway shots (or, more realistically, shots from the rough!). Cheers for now,

Just returned from our golf break (a little bit jaded!!!) A very quick note just to say thanks very much as everything was superb Hotel was excellent (probably too good for us!!) We have just arrived home from a fantastic time in Portugal on our first golfing trip abroad. Myself and my friends would like to thank you and your company for the first class service, from my first enquiry to the e-mail I received from you a couple of days before we left regarding a change of tee times. The Sao Rafael 5* hotel was brilliant ...first class!. The golf courses were amazing and everything went really smoothly. Just a short note to let you know how the trip went. Car hire was fine the whole process was good, no problems. Hotel was wonderful and really good value. The room was massive, clean and the service was good. The golf was excellent as well, the 3 courses were in really good condition given the time of year. The 3 courses were all very different and a real joy to play. All in all the value for money was unbelievable, we thoroughly enjoyed it and would book with your company again in the future. Freshly back from our golf trip to Sao Rafael, four exceptional days of beautiful weather. As usual, the hotel was extremely accommodating, friendly and comfortable. They upgraded our party to suites ovelooking the Atlantic, very luxurious. All of the courses were in great condition, Morgados was a pleasure to play - everyone remarked how pleasing it was on the eye, condition of the bunkers and greens - really well maintained. Alamos is my personal favourite, greens receptive to the higher shot - skidding on to the scrambled chip in - no matter where you were on the green lines are true if you can read them but very fast. All in all a great trip enjoyed by everyone.
