Morgado do Reguengo Golf Course
In spite of its relative youth, Morgado do Reguengo has a very mature feel, mostly thanks to a dedicated tree planting programme that has seen a great many olive trees establish themselves across the landscape. This has helped to demarcate the new holes properly, and has added to the aesthetic beauty of the natural surroundings, which are dominated by the imposing Monchique mountains.
As with most new resort courses, Morgado do Reguengo has been built with a number of different tees; although it measures a chunky 7,300 yards from the tips, there is a distance to suit every golfer. So fear not, the course is there for every visitor to the Algarve, and has been already established a good reputation in its short years.
Despite the course appearing quite open on first viewing, the natural undulations and strategically placed bunkers make the layout very enjoyable. It is spread out over many acres of countryside making it the perfect place to relax and focus on your game.

Salgados really nice, Morgado was ok but Alamos one of the best courses any one could wish to play. Overall for the money the package was superb and I have recommended you to every one we met on the way. We will definitely book with you again so thanks very much for all your hard work in making our golf holiday a good one. Kind regards,
The holiday was very good, Salgados and Morgado were the best courses. No complaints about the hotel, excellent food and facilities with friendly staff. Best wishes,
Just to let you know that our trip to Portugal went very well. The CS Sao Rafael is a good hotel and they upgraded us to a suite. The hotel appears fairly new and is well appointed. The staff are high calibre and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Sesmarias proved to be a quiet option (probably partly due to the time of year) sufficiently removed from the ultra-commercial Albufeira. This suited us well. Like many places in the region, much new building work is going on. So, whether Sesmarias will grow into a mini-Albufeira remains to be seen.
The three CS golf courses were good and in fine nick too. Salgados is flat but very tight with lots of water, lush fairways and good greens. Morgado proved a bit easier on the front nine which is relatively flat and more open. The back nine goes up into the hills (and wind) with some scenic holes which are a good test. Again, good greens. Alamos was the best in our view. A superb ‘ramble’ around the hill at the back of the clubhouse, with great views and many scenic holes. Good greens awaiting your arrival after some testing tee and fairway shots (or, more realistically, shots from the rough!). Cheers for now,
