Legendary golf courses designer James Braid has created an entertaining mix of heathland and parkland, featuring some challenging holes, with a premium placed on accuracy rather than power. The best holes on the course are undoubtedly at Kirriemuir's tail end, including the spectacular par-3 17th, named "Braid's Gem", where players must challenge the two enormous trees that guard the green.
This is a worthwhile stop for any golfer based in Dundee, or venturing to the nearby Carnoustie Links.
