Our recent golf holiday in Florida was superb and thus I thought I would write to express my thanks for all of the hard work that went in to organising the trip.
We stayed at the Marriot Doral Golf Resort and Spa and it was exceptional in every sense. The accommodation was excellent for a four star hotel and the service was outstanding. The staff were always going the extra mile to ensure our every requirement was catered for. Dining options were extensive with a choice of five restaurants, which all served great food that was competitively priced for the area. Our restaurant of choice was the Champions Bar and Grill. We ate here almost every day following our rounds on the golf courses.
We were lucky enough to play all five of the courses at Doral and it was tough to choose between them, such was the overall quality of the golf on offer. All of the courses were in exceptional condition and the greens were the best we had ever had the fortune to putt on. Our favourite course was the Blue Monster, which I’m sure is a common them among Your Golf Travel customers! The other courses were also excellent and we felt they all cater for all types of golfer. Some were more difficult than others, but the numerous tee positions on each course meant that higher handicappers weren’t excluded.
The service built into the golf package is the best I have experienced; after playing golf the staff took away our clubs, cleaned them and returned them on a buggy for the following day’s game. All we had to do was head for the bar, which saved us stress and more importantly time.
If there are any golfing fishermen out there I can highly recommend the Tarpon fishing as something to make the trip even more special.
