Today, 10th October 2017, is the official World Mental Health Day and while it’s not something you would usually associate with the game we know and love – golf and mental health do have a connection.

Now, we’re not saying that 18 holes holds the answer to the complex issues that people face everyday but we’ve done some research and picking up your clubs and getting on the course every now and then can have a seriously positive effect on your mental wellbeing.

If you suffer yourself, know someone who does or even have a suspicion that a friend or family member might be, why not get out on the course and have some fun!

Whether it’s a round at your local course, a quick hack round a par 3 course or a trip abroad for some sunshine while you play, you never know the impact that could have.

Not convinced yet? Take a look at our infographic with some pretty positive facts and statistics showing the positive benefits of golf on mental health…
