New Beer in the 19th Hole!

By September 2, 2009One Comment

Old Course HotelWhatever level of golf you aspire to the 19th hole is vitally important to any golfing experience. Some may even say that the 19th is more important than the 18 which precede it. The Old Course Hotel at St. Andrews has taken the 19th hole experience to a new level in the world famous Jigger Inn by introducing its very own ale. The Jigger Ale will be available from September and will offer guests the opportunity to talk about their round in the ambient surroundings of the Inn all while enjoying the “fresh hop aroma and bitter dry finish” of the Jigger Ale.

The Old Course Hotel also offers another fantastic après golf experience in the rooftop deck which offers great views over the Old Course and St. Andrews coastline. This is very much a five-star experience and when the weather is shining there is not a better place to enjoy a drink.

The only thing we recommend with this ale is that under no circumstances should you drink and drive, putting may see small improvements but the side effects of this beer are 40-yard slices.

Fancy testing out these fantastic 19th hole experiences? Give the people at Your Golf Travel a call on 0800 043 6644 who have golf breaks to the Old Course starting from just £149 per person unfortunately not including beer ;-(.

Have travelled far and wide to be able to contribute to the 19th hole blog. Often referred to as one of the most boring people in golf due to my facts and figures about different destinations!

golf and beer, my two favourite things! The jigger inn is a really nice pub anyone going to st andrews should take this on. The dukes course which it is attached to is a quality track.
