Good points , four of us went to play all 3 courses and paid for half board , hotel itself was excellent as were food and staff couldn't really fault anything. Bad points , we ate at the grill restaurant both nights bearing in mind we paid half board with a £30 limit for evening meal , asked for the bill which should have been for 4 pints they tried to charge us £161 on the Friday & again £157 on the Saturday, including £15 service charge each time, on disputing this they did eventually after half an hour only charge the drinks , but to be having to do this in front of other diners was a bit embarrassing , woke up sunday morning and found a letter pushed under the door from the grill restaurant saying the we hadn't paid service charge which they told us we didnt need to pay from the grill restaurant , went to check out and the receptionist told us she would cancel this as it happens all the time , left us feeling a bit disappointed as the rest of the weekend was excellent.
