Championship Golf Course
The championship golf course at Old Thorns is highly regarded as one of the best golf courses in Hampshire. It was designed by Peter Allis and Dave Thomas. Peter is known as the BBC’s ‘voice of golf’. In 2012, Peter was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in the lifetime achievement category. Peter’s co designer Dave Thomas has 17 professional wins to his name and has designed over 100 courses around the world including all three courses at The Belfry Resort.
The course boasts spectacular views of Hampshire countryside with each fairway being lined with stunning mature woodland.There are also several lakes and bunkers strategically placed throughout the course to make for a challenging test of golf. There are also a number of elevated tees where you can enjoy some breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the stunning countryside.

Did you Know:
To mark the inauguration of Old Thorns in 1982, Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus, Isao Aoki and the reigning British Open champion Bill Rogers played in a competitive fourball. Aoki came out on top and all four scorecards can still viewed today in the entrance of the Sports Bar.
The Elevation Health Club & Spa
The Elevation Club is the in-house health and fitness club at Old Thorns. The facilities are simply outstanding, with the gym priding itself in being the first ever gym in the UK to install the Matrix A7xe Ascent Trainer, one of the newest training machines in the business. In addition to the fully equipped gym, there are many studio classes available including Yoga with Lorna or Zumba Toning with Lucy.
The Health Club also has a 20 meter crystal clear swimming pool along with a large jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing after a hard day’s work on the course. Even if you want to just sit by the pool , there are plenty of loungers which you can make use of to just kick back and relax!

24 trains a day from London Waterloo to Liphook
Old Thorns is in a fantastic location only 1 hour and 20 minutes outside London. If you are travelling by train, the nearest station to Old Thorns is Liphook which is only a 5 minute drive away. If you are driving to Old Thorns it is only a 2 minute drive off the A3 road on the London to Portsmouth route.
