[dropcap]Le Touquet is located in Northern France, with a population of just 5,335, however come summer, the beach town welcomes 250,000 people. It is an extremely popular holiday destination home to several luxury hotels and top golf courses including Golf du Touquet and Golf D’Hardelot.[/dropcap]

We have decided to take a break from Golf and tell you about how to enjoy Le Touquet off the fairways. Here are some ideas of things to do and see when in this lovely area of Northern France.


Beach

Le Touquet is a popular beach destination with miles of white sand and a great place for water sports including kite surfing, wind surfing and sand sailing. Many restaurants, cafes and bars are based along the beach, providing the perfect place for a sunset drink or meal.

Horse Riding

Horse riding in Le Touquet goes back a long way with over 45 km of horse riding paths between the dunes and the forest. Head to Le Touquet Centre équestre for your horse riding experience. No need to worry if it’s your first time, beginner classes are provided.

Tennis

The Le Touquet Tennis Club is home to 33 courts, 25 clay and 8 indoor courts. It plays host to several professional tournaments including the Open Feminin du Touquet Paris Plage on the WTA World Tour.

Aqualud

On a family holiday and the kinds want a splash around. Head to, Aqualud, the biggest amusement water based park in whole of Northern France. The water temperature at 29 C, might aswell be a tropical island. Water slides, a Wave pool, and Jacuzzi, make the perfect place for a day out with friends or with the family.

Cycling

Whether to watch or cycle yourself, Le touquet is a popular cycling destination, playing host to 4 Stages of the Tour De France. Head to la Baleine Royale to hire a bike and enjoy the many cycling paths in the Le Touquet area.

Le Touquet Lighthouse

Travel up 274 steps to reach the viewing gallery of the Le Touquet Lighthouse and appreciate stunning views of the Bay of Canche, The Normandy Cliffs. Only €5 for adults, the Lighthouse is a must visit when visiting Le Touquet.
