The world’s most expensive – and luxurious – golf cart

If you’ve got a few quid to spare and really want to make an impression at your local golf club then pulling up beside the first tee in one of these babies will certainly have heads turning.

This is the Garia Edition Soleil de Minuit, one of the most expensive and luxurious golf carts money can buy. This golf buggy – for that’s what it is at the end of the day – has a famous pedigree; being built on the same production line that has produced Porsche’s Cayman sports car and built on a frame from the same supplier as such motoring giants as Aston Martin, Jaguar and Volvo. And it has a gearbox which comes from a supplier to Ducati.

The Garia also features a double wishbone front suspension, similar to those found in sports cars and inspired by Formula 1 cars.

Some of its features include a choice of exterior colours – so you can lose the garish orange shown in the photo – and two-tone seats, which are lovingly hand-stitched. You also get an Alcantara headrest and a carbon roof, all for just $17,499!

But there’s more and you can add in optional extras such as a built-in refridgerator, or you can even have it customised to match your other vehicles… or your golf bag. Or maybe even to match your favourite Lyle & Scott sweater and trouser combo…!

The Garia Soleil de Minuit is on show at the Top Marques Monaco from April 15-18, 2010.
