Wasn't prepared for the weather. Wind made the course difficult. Lost quite a few golf balls. Would liked to have played twice. Would have definitely scored better. Great use of the landscape in the design, with great natural links holes.
In the last 10+ years there have been some outstanding new links courses popping up in Scotland. In the unique coastal corner of the Mull of Kintyre, a genuine championship links course can be found. While there are some 32,000 golf courses worldwide, only 270 of those can truly be classed as links.
The astonishing Machrihanish Dunes, which opened in 2009, was added to this elite collection.
