Golf Courses at Breadsall Priory Marriott Hotel & Country Club
The Championship Priory course is the premier layout at the resort, and since its inception in 1977, has emerged as one of the best in the local area. The Priory skirts the stunning hotel, and requires accurate play to negotiate the tree-lined fairways. Though not particularly long, the Priory is demanding, and attracts visitors back again and again with its charm and spectacular views.

Breadsall Priory's second course is the Moorland, which differs in style to the Priory, offering golfers a great variety. Set amidst the lush Derbyshire countryside, the Moorland is more open, but is also fortunate to offer views to equal its neighbour.
Breadsall Priory is one of the few resorts in the East Midlands to have two 18-hole courses, making it a great choice for a golf break.

The rooms were very much on a 4 star level with two huge beds and a flat screen which included sky sports. Our room was ready prior to our 2:20pm round of golf which was great. We also had no issues with the promotional resort credit.
Warm friendly and comfortable
Hotel rooms very comfortable & immaculately clean. Welcoming staff. BUT - food let them down badly. We sent food back on THREE separate occasions. A pear & walnut tart with pastry that was too had to cut let alone eat; it came back as a totally different tart but at least edible; LUKE WARM cooked breakfast - a complaint elicited "I'll tell chef"; a salmon & avocado sandwich that contained no avocado - corrected second time around. Dinner for four in the Grill Room (no restaurant) took over TWO & a HALF HOURS. Stayed here before with YGT - food excellent. NOT this time. Will we be returning??
Comfortable rooms, food ok vegetarian choices limited. Price of drinks steep! ( My usual complaint)
The hotel was excellent , 2 double beds in the room . Not that we spent much time in there . The food was decent though dinner choice was limited , 1 meat , 1 fish and 1 veggie . Breakfast was spot on .
Excellent in every aspect
Although we were in the newer part of the hotel, our room was well appointed and comfortable. It was only a short distance from the car park. The staff were all extremely friendly. The bar was very busy and bustling. I had the set dinner menu which was excellent.
excellent all round trip but bar prices prohibitive

Fantastic with some absolutely stunning holes. Quite a hilly course with some very interesting sloping fairways.
Lovely course and in great condition Keep out of the rough as it is very punishing. Unfortunately buggies were banned on the Saturday due to the rain which meant the oldest in our party (88) couldn't play.
This course is amazing. I’ve played a lot of nice courses including Stoke Park and Forest of Arden and this course has a wow factor. Despite playing in 45mph winds, all 18 of each really enjoyed the course and all said how beautiful it was. It’s very up and down and as referenced the weather was awful so no buggies were allowed on the course. You certainly know you have been walking with me registering over 20,000 steps according to my phone but all in all a very enjoyable course with cleverly allocated fairways and greens
The Moorlands is a very enjoyable course and on the day had very challenging pin positions. Poor shots are not always punished as a lot of holes run parallel with each other. Despite the course being full our 4 ball got round in just over 4 hours and the weather was dire. It’s great that the venues two courses differ so much The reason it hasn’t got five stars for facilities is that there are ltd 150 markers but this isn’t an issue if you have a GPS watch
Easier course but still challenging in parts
Challenging but enjoyable
Again, a really well presented course. It's VERY hilly with some quite steep cross-slopes & difficult approaches. We walked it - and were pretty tired at the end of the round. It's LONG (and played long too). Surprised to find we were still playing off winter tees / mats (not on the Moorland course). Superb surroundings. Not a course for the faint-hearted or novice golfer - it bites!!!! Not sure we'd play it again if we returned. Consider a buggy if you're not reasonably fit!!
Extremely well presented course with superb views. Quite busy for a Monday afternoon in April. But very enjoyable for the average club golfer. And it's easily "walkable". Signage could be improved in places but a minor point.
Holes 1 and 18 were closed due to poor weather and flooding although when walking on them to the next hole, it appeared absolutely fine.
Weather still bad, no buggies allowed. Most of our party did not play. No criticism of the hotel or golf staff- just unlucky
Weather not kind! Could only play 9 holes on Sunday - back nine closed. No buggies allowed so some of our party could not play at all They gave us vouchers for 8 x 4balls for this
Perfect for a Sunday morning after the night before . Quite open and nicely laid out . Had a Spanish feel about it especially in the bright sunshine . Greens a bit bigger still a bit tricky at times . All in all a cracking course which we all enjoyed .
The course was good although at times a tad confusing . Greens were quite small and tricky . All in all a good society course .
Course was excellent after such a dry summer
This is a monster! Not in length but in the need for accuracy and stamina. The pace was painfully slow and we came off the course after the 14th hole.
As it says, it is a moorland course, having some limestone walls. Not many bunkers, the greens were good. There was a slow mixed foursome in front of us which was a pain!
excellent test of golf enjoyed by all taking part
no really interesting features
