Founded in 1978 by Peter Nordwall, Bro Balsta Golf Club offers an outstanding golfing package to those looking to explore the golfing delights of Sweden. The 18 hole Championship Course is joined by the nine hole Executive Course, each of which offers travelling golfers an exciting test of golf. The club is well known throughout Sweden for its outstanding greens and also as the place where Annika Sorenstam, perhaps the most successful female golfer of all time, began her golfing career. As luck would have it, Annika won her last event in her homeland at Bro Balsta in 2006.

0800 043 6644The Championship Course at Bro Balsta is among the very best in Sweden having hosted a number of prestigious championships in years gone by including the 2006 Scandinavian TPC, an event home town girl Annika Sorenstam won with a closing round of 65 that was sealed with a final hole birdie. Designed by Peter Nordwall, the Championship Course opened for play in 1982. The course is routed over gently undulating terrain, in a tranquil, rural setting just south of Balsta. Nordwall’s intelligent layout promotes a strategic approach, with many elevated tees making it tricky to leave the ideal line for approach shots into the large, undulating greens. In fact, the main challenge comes in the form of the magnificent putting greens, which are among the most challenging in the country.
The Executive Course at Bro Balsta is set on the same glorious patch of land as its more celebrated sibling and offers a fun test of golf for those looking for a relaxing nine holes or for those who are just starting out in the game of golf.
