Golf Courses at Bro Hof Slott Golf Club

Stadium Course

The Stadium Course at Bro Hof Slott, which was designed by the renowned Robert Trent Jones, was voted the best course in Sweden almost immediately after opening for play in 2007. Pristine fairways snake their way around a series of lakes and while the course in general is fairly flat, safely navigating the water, bunkers and manmade undulations that flank the fairways is a tough but fun filled proposition. The course is also open and therefore exposed to the elements.

Perhaps the best thing about the Stadium Course is that each tee position, of which there are a total of four on each hole, offers a totally different test of golf. The red and yellow tees are perfectly suitable for the beginner; whites will test experienced golfers and the blacks stretch the course to just over 8,000 yards which, needless to say, is more than enough to challenge even the most talented players.

Castle Course

The Castle Course followed the Stadium Course and was opened for play in 2009, making Bro Hof Slott an even more attractive proposition to the travelling golfer. The course is built around an old castle, hence the name, which now serves as its clubhouse. Fairways are tighter than they are on the Stadium Course and where there is water on the Stadium, the Castle Course features massive waster bunkers known locally as “playable waste areas”. Beautiful, tall Aurora Gold grass also flanks each perfectly manicured fairway which arguably makes the Castle Course the more attractive of the two at Bro Hof Slott.

Again the Castle Course features multiple tee locations meaning golfers of all abilities can enjoy its unique challenge and while the total yardage of 6,722 is by no means a push over, it is considerably shorter than the monstrous Stadium Course which only highlights the variety in terms of a golfing test that each course has to offer.
