From the very first tee to the final putt, the golf course at Calderfields will question and test the skills of golfers of all abilities. Measuring 6,509 from the tips, Calderfields is by no means long but the narrow fairways are well protected by rough and water hazards. Large, undulating greens and an abundance of water are the main features of this pretty parkland course where accuracy is of paramount importance. Look out for the 8th hole where you have to cross two separate water hazards before arriving safely on the green.
The charming lodges at Calderfields provide visiting golfers with a comfortable and convenient base for a golf break in the midlands. Guests can enjoy panoramic views of the golf course while relaxing in the cosy and well appointed guestrooms that feature all the modern amenities that are required for a truly comfortable stay including freeview TV, telephone, tea and coffee facilities and room service.
Guests are welcome to make use of the resorts dining facilities that include the Bar and Grill and a renowned Sunday Carvery. The Lake View Restaurant offers a more luxurious place to enjoy an evening meal and guests will revel in the relaxing and inviting ambience while enjoying the picturesque views of the lakes and the golf course.

Great value for money...
Calderfields was a great venue for our trip and is perfectly
set up for golf breaks, with the accommodation cabins, club house, golf
shop and driving range ticking all the boxes. The members of staff
were really helpful and friendly, the evening meal and breakfast included in
the package added great value for money and the portions were plentiful; perfect
after/before a long day playing golf. Additional extras like beer and
sandwiches were not over priced like they are in many hotels which was another
We wanted to watch the football so we also ventured out to
the next town which was only a 5 minute taxi ride away which was great.
The golf course itself was enjoyable and in great
condition considering the time of year we visited, with the greens still being
fast and true.
I will be visiting again and will be recommending Calderfields
and YGT to others.
