0800 043 6644The layout was devised by Bob Hunt, and spans a verdantparcel of land that was once a rugged and unkempt expanse of scrub. Hewn throughrocks and ravines, the course is reminiscent of a desert course, and affordsits visitors some truly incredible views.
Hunt has created a varied challenge, combining deft shortholes with some demanding long tests, and has taken full advantage of theextraordinary landscape. Regular visitors to Crete will be familiar with theimpressive scenery that the island has to offer, and with the addition of afirst class course, Crete has become a hugelyattractive golf holiday option.
Having recently opened in December 2017, The Crete Golf Club Hotel is now a fantastic addition to the brilliant golf course. With 25 properties in total, including 23 junior suites and two executive suites, the hotel is already proving very popular with visiting golfers.
All rooms are typically designed drawing inspiration from the local hills of Crete and Aegean Sea and are incredibly spacious. The rooms at the Golf Club Hotel can be amended by the guest to include either one king size bed or two singles which will be in addition to a sofa bed in every property. With luxury amenities including a 55 inch flat screen tv, stocked minibar and coffee making facilities, guests are sure to feel right at home. In addition to the excellent living space, the private marble bathrooms are very plush and feature both a bathtub and walk-in shower. Perhaps the best part of all rooms are the large sliding doors which open our towards a private balcony which affords fantastic views of the golf course and distant Cretan sea. The hotel also boasts a range of top-class facilities, including an outdoor swimming pool, state-of-the-art fitness centre and a popular restaurant which serves delicious European cuisines on its a la carte menu as well as an extensive buffet breakfast each morning.

Good room with views across the first fairway Staff very attentive and food was excellent

We followed a junior competition for our first two rounds so it was slow as they had to walk whereas we had the luxury of a buggy and on many holes there was a fair distance between green and next tee. The other rounds were much faster but take care as some fairways very narrow
