Golf Courses at Dale Hill Hotel, Golf & Country Club
The Old Course carves through the mature woodland that is characteristic of the whole estate, and provides visitors with splendid views of the Sussex Weald. Despite not being particularly lengthy - the Old measures 5,856 yards - the par of 69 remains a considerable test. The front nine is more open, while the woodland that dominates the final holes makes for an exacting closing stretch.
Dale Hill received a shot in the arm in 1997, when Ryder Cup legend and US Masters winner Ian Woosnam added the resort's second championship course. The modern parkland layout, measuring 6512 yards, is designed in line with USGA construction principles, and features many challenging holes as it sweeps across the natural undulations of the landscape. Highlights include the spectacular 16th, a short hole played across a severe gully. The Woosnam is the perfect balance, as it challenges the highly-skilled players without becoming too difficult for the average visitor.
Dale Hill is also home to a PGA Game Improvement Centre, making it just the place for both practice and tuition.
Dale Hill's two courses and excellent facilities make it perfect for a corporate or society outing.
Accommodation at Dale Hill Hotel, Golf & Country Club
The traditional style of the resort is perfectly complemented by the contemporary furnishings and amenities throughout, while all visitors will enjoy the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Depending on what side of the hotel you stay, the superb views across the golf course and the Weald will only serve to embellish your golf break at Dale Hill.
Dale Hill's leisure centre is complete with a heated indoor swimming pool, gymnasium and a sauna. Health and beauty treatments including relaxing massages can be booked in advance, while the local area is also an excellent fishing location.
The Wealden Restaurant is a fine dining experience where the cuisine has earned an AA Rosette.
The Eighteenth Restaurant offers a wide range of enticing international and British classics.
Dale Hill Hotel, Golf & Country Club Reviews
Great value for money...

We had a great time on our golf break to Dale Hill. The
hotel was good, staff were helpful and friendly and the food was good too.
Now to the golf...
The Woosnam Course was poor. It was very wet and as such the
greens weren’t very good. Having said that the Old Course was much better and
everyone enjoyed it.
All in all its winter golf at the moment and this is the
risk you take when you play at this time of year. However when you look at what
we paid it was great value for money.
We will be back in touch with YGT and booking a trip next
The recommendation for our golf break by Your Golf Travel was true to word and the trip was excellent apart from the inclement weather which came in on day 2! I am afraid the heavy rain got the better of us by hole 15 and 2 drowned rats returned to the club house (others did the same, we were not alone) to shower and a complete change of clothes. (Very roomy ladies facilities) Apart from the weather which is being an issue at the moment! The venue was hard to fault. Good service and friendly atmosphere in the hotel and in the golf sector. The golf courses were in good condition and full of interest. Not the birdies or eagles (nearly!) on this trip as It was the first time I have ventured round 18 holes after an 8 month layoff due to a shoulder operation.
Two minor points… Signs to the venue poor and the golf ball machine and baskets for the practice range need updating. I would certainly recommend YGT!
