The Old Course carves through the mature woodland that is characteristic of the whole estate, and provides visitors with splendid views of the Sussex Weald. Despite not being particularly lengthy - the Old measures 5,856 yards - the par of 69 remains a considerable test. The front nine is more open, while the woodland that dominates the final holes makes for an exacting closing stretch.
Dale Hill received a shot in the arm in 1997, when Ryder Cup legend and US Masters winner Ian Woosnam added the resort's second championship course. The modern parkland layout, measuring 6512 yards, is designed in line with USGA construction principles, and features many challenging holes as it sweeps across the natural undulations of the landscape. Highlights include the spectacular 16th, a short hole played across a severe gully. The Woosnam is the perfect balance, as it challenges the highly-skilled players without becoming too difficult for the average visitor.
Dale Hill is also home to a PGA Game Improvement Centre, making it just the place for both practice and tuition.

The rooms were spacious, comfy and well equipped. I would suggest anyone staying takes the time to locate the towel rail switch and turn it off upon arrival. 3 of our rooms were roasting hot and we couldn’t find the switch to turn them off. Bar staff and the service team were one of the best I’ve experienced on stay over golf trips in the uk, especially the young lady who served our evening meal. The only negative was the customer service by Chris in the pro shop, that much so that he lost a good chunk of spend from our group of 8 simply because of his attitude, shame really.

Considering the dry cold winter the fairways and greens were all pretty good, I think we caught them shortly after the maintenance period but it was a fair test and everyone enjoyed it.

I’d highly recommend a buggy for the Woosnam course as it’s quite a long walk. Especially if you playing more then 18.

Again very slow . Big society on other course so a match was out in this course which held up play for all. Group in front walked in after 9 holes and they were members and said they would be lodging a complaint. Course nowhere near as good condition as the Woosnam which was a pity

Very slow with a lot of groups not playing to the rules . Course marshal would help with pace of play . Group in front of us walked in after 14 holes. Halfway hut would be a bonus
