Gracehill Golf Club

Gracehill Golf Club is less than 100m away from the Dark Hedges Hotel so it’s the ideal location for guests looking for 18-holes. The course is a Par 72 Parkland course, founded in 1995, playing 6,574 yards which is primarily set-up for mid to high handicappers, although, even the low handicap golfers might struggle with tree-lined fairways ready to snare anyone failing to keep it on the short stuff. Further perils await with water hazards and heather ensuring that this is a course that rewards accuracy rather than length off the tee.

The Gracehill Golf Club has a modern clubhouse which provides scenic views of the course, making it an ideal spot to spend some time drinking & eating whilst reviewing your days play. Expect a wide variety of options on the menu, ranging from simple bar snacks to County Antrim rack of lamb, so regardless of how you’ve played you are sure to find excellent sustenance after your round of golf at Gracehill.

Unfortunately, there is no range to practice before the round, however, there is a putting green to ensure your short-game is in top shape come the 1st tee. Dark Hedges Estate is the perfect destination for golfers seeking a break to Northern Ireland to discover the great heritage within the country at the likes of Giant’s Causeway and the Dark Hedges, whilst also being able to play at the friendly Gracehill Golf Club, just next door, or travel less than 30 minutes to play Championship courses such as Royal Portrush and Portstewart Golf Club.

Accommodation at Dark Hedges Estate

Dark Hedges offers the finest accommodation that caters for couples and families in particular with the choice of spacious family rooms and bridal suites, but, there are also standard rooms available encompassing double/twin beds which would be perfect for groups. All rooms provide the ideal comfort with Egyptian cotton towels, housekeeping,  flat-screen TVs as well as ipod docks.

Away from the rooms, guests can then either head to play golf or enjoy a hair & beauty treatment at the hotels’ ‘Rush Hair & Beauty’ salon which offers a range of treatments including cut-and-blow-dry’s, colouring, waxing,  massages, manicures, facials and more.

For a bite to eat, then head to the hotels’ Scullery Bar & Restaurant serving  breakfast, lunch and dinner. A Full Irish or continental breakfast at The Scullery will be the perfect way to start your day before a round on the course and a taste of the local Irish produce will be the ideal way to fill your palate for dinner.

When at the Dark Hedges Estate, guests cannot complete their trip without a visit to the iconic Dark Hedges, where the trees close in to create one of the most picturesque roads in Europe, as well as a visit to the incredible World Heritage Site of Giant’s Causeway less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
