Dont expect the Ritz but for a golf break its a basic relaxed place with very well trained and pleasant staff.
Draycote Hotel & Whitefields Golf Course
The Draycote Hotel offers visitors the best of both worlds, being situated in the heart of the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, while also being easily accessible via the Midlands motorway network.
Despite only coming into existence in 1992, the Whitefields Golf Course has matured well into a testing parkland proposition. At 6,289 yards, length is not the main issue, but there are many holes with little margin for error, and severe penalties are guaranteed for wayward striking.

Whitefields Golf Course
One of the main benefits at Whitefields is the excellent natural drainage, which ensures that the course can remain open throughout the year, and also that the putting surfaces will roll true. The main focal point is Draycote Water, part of the neighbouring Country Park, which has welcomed many a wayward approach shot to the nerve-racking 13th green.
The 13th and 15th holes are the favourites of many visitors, although some will find their stock of golf balls somewhat diminished by the time they have negotiated the island green of the par-3 13th. Whitefields also boasts an 18-bay driving range, in addition to the excellent facilities for practicing the short game.
The signature hole at Whitefields is the 15th, named ‘Temptation'. Golfers can choose to challenge the 257 yards between tee and green, but water awaits on both sides of the fairway.

Booked last minute and was very impressed with the hotel and breakfast. 12 of us went and everyone was happy with the accommodation (which is a miracle)
We arrived late morning and were pleased to find we could buy a round of drinks before playing a round of golf. The staff were very helpful in recommending a nearby Indian restaurant and arranging taxis for our party of 11. There was a serve-yourself full English breakfast the following morning.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the facilities good. All areas of the hotel were well kept and clean. The trip was excellent value for money.
Our room appeared to have been recently decorated and was nice and comfortable. The food was very good although we did have a long delay waiting for the starter but we were kept updated and we did understand that there had been a problem with a large golf group who had arrived late for the start of the meal which unfortunately coincided with our meal time.
Great room with a great King size. Very comfortable stay. Great value.
A golf break for four (2 non golfers) A bargain at £48 each which included two rounds of golf and breakfast. Rooms are basic, a large double bed and powerful shower. Could be a bit noisy, we did hear a group return to their room at 2,30am. You can’t get into your room until 3pm, the reception are not even prepared to see if the room is available for you. Slow play on first day due to a competition ( next time I’ll ring before booking to check). On both days we found our tee wasn’t booked, the club were able to book us in for a different one but on the second day we arrived at our tee and another group had our tee. The shop said that the golf travel club always check if tee is free but don’t confirm. Apart from the woman on reception when we arrived, every member of staff couldn’t do enough for you. Service at the bar was slow due to just one member of staff, she was running around and coping as best she can.
Firstly a massive thanks to the YGT team for all the help and communications throughout especially as we had last minute issues. The hotel and course was better than expected considering the price. STAFF were excellent throughout our stay. ROOMS were very comfortable, and had everything you needed. FOOD was of good standard and prepared in a nice way.
Really good value

Good for an average golfer , bit slow on first day as very busy but fine on second. Greens excellent.
The course was good, some of the tee boxes wernt the best, apart from that nothing to complain about. Nice course with a nice layout. For the price we paid great value for money
There are few water hazards on this course, but I managed to visit most of them. I would have found one more if my tee shot at the Par 3 16th had not found its way on to the green via a bridge ! There were enough hills to make the course interesting without sapping our energy. The special offers linked to the course hotel make it well worth a visit.
The course was quite short, the greens and fairways were well kept but unfortunately there was badger damage on the T areas, the greenkeepers were able to repair some of the damage on Monday but there is little that can be done about badgers as they are a protected species. Everyone we met on the course was friendly and flow of play was fairly good despite the course being busy. The facilities were good and all the staff helpful. As always YGT organised the trip perfectly.
We enjoyed our two rounds of golf. The course has some interesting holes and the greens were in very good condition. There had been some bad damage, possibly caused by badgers on a lot of the tees.
Well laid out course with a relatively easy start then builds up to get a little tougher.greens had been hollow tined so we're a bit bumpy. But overall an enjoyable two days.
Long delays, tees double booked. Members turned up and given priority over booked tees held us up. Staff in the pro shop friendly.
GOLF course was really good, short holes but don't be fooled. The 15th and 16th holes are really good and quite daunting. The views over the lake on 13th are amazing. Good golf facilities, with large putting green and range. Overall, well worth a visit, and we would come back again. Quite hard to play after 'the night before'
Greens hollow tined and sanded. Par for greens at this time
