Good location Nice restaurant Friendly staff Hotel needs some tlc We had 2 rooms. One was ridiculously small. V little parking and if you could find a space it was expensive
A decent 3 Star hotel....caters to coach patrons....room was spacious - bathroom was small. Parking was a challenge...not always available in the hotel car park so had to hunt for spaces outside. Breakfast was good.
Having not stayed here for 20 years or so it was a delight in going back....people have to remember its one of our Victorian seaside resort hotels and its not a shiny new PREM INN. All good with the room/breakfast etc....HOWEVER....Beware of the £15 a night car parking charge that is not guaranteed if you pay then move your car. The spaces are not reserved and the parking firm they have farmed this out to ....if you look around the streets there are spaces/timed spaces free over night/single yellows that you can use but may have to move in the morning. Its a complete rip off.....do not use that car park if you can avoid.
Brilliant base for our break! Hotel and facilities were spot on, special thanks to Kate in the restaurant who patched up my arm after a mistery fall in the night! Only downside is the £15 per night car parking charge!
Clean and comfortable could do with updating. Evening meal on first night very good and good value
All clean and tidy. Food was very nice. Staff friendly
The hotel was perfect for our golf weekend and all the staff were extremely polite and helpful. Parking is a bit of an issue but didn't detract from the stay.
Rooms were comfortable though small. En suite shower in one room was very small and difficult to get in and out of. Parking was very expensive at £15 for 24 hours.
Basic, but clean. Great staff and nice breakfast
Nice hotel may need refurbishing soon but in a great location
Hotel rooms were very tired small bathroom, very little windows that opened then not enough.
The hotel is tired and in need of a refresh but has a good central location and the staff were all very accommodating.
Friendly staff decent breakfast Rooms were clean if maybe a bit tight in places Location is good. Forget the spa take your trunks and have a swim in the sea. 5 min walk.
Only thing was parking if to busy you couldn’t park
Superb hotel and staff...we were upgraded and the rooms were superb! Food excellent and staff very accommodating..
A good experience, and we were looked after very well.
Could not thought it. Staff was excellent
Comfortable, lovely breakfast
Good location for the centre of Bournemouth and plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance.
We did not have a good stay here and will not be coming back. The two days we stayed there were building works going on directly above my room. It started at around 8.50am. As I was having a break I wold have liked a lie-in. But this was impossible the banging and drilling was unbearable. When tried to address the issue I was looked at like I had the problem. The gentleman who I spoke to at reception was very defensive and asked me what they should do. I suggested they start work at 11 to allow guests a mellow morning but he said 9am was fine and he could not expect workers to start so late. I then suggested going to his house on a Sunday morning and waking him up with banging and drilling. He still did not move on his stance and said there was nothing he could do. I then offered the suggestion he close that side of the hotel to allow their guests a peaceful rest. This feel on deaf ears. We had five rooms booked in total and as a gesture to the organiser (me) I was to get a free upgrade to a "superior" room. Where in fact I had the worst room of the bunch. The room smelt musky and needed a good airing. It was clean enough buy I will not be recommending the Durley Dean.
Absolutely perfect for a golf tour, friendly staff in a clean, comfortable and friendly hotel. Great food and Bar. Only downside was extra £10 Per night for parking and they didn’t have enough spaces.
Excellent Service and a good variety of food in the restaurant. The Room had just been refurbished and was very comfortable with all mod cons. The staff were always there to help. We will use this hotel again next time
