The undulations on offer on the greens are evident across the course with the par-3 5th a particular example of this. Featuring a large tier, those not finding the correct part of the green are in for an incredibly testing 2-putt.
Expect short par-4's that offer good par and birdie opportunities for anyone able to negotiate the many pot bunkers that will be ready to snare any slightly offline or overhit drive.
Whilst The Eden certainly gathers praise amongst the links purists who go to play it each year, it is the quote from 5-time Open Champion Tom Watson that stands out. The course has its own clubhouse, shared with The Strathtyrum which offers a quieter experience for anyone wishing to be away from the hubbub offered by The Old Course, especially in the summer months.

I actually liked this better than the New Course at St. Andrews. It was beautiful and I found the greens to be challenging.
I would not be in a rush to come back to Eden. Not as nice as expected
