We booked this hotel for a week's stay, playing 3 rounds of golf and using it as a base to explore the area. This hotel is actually more of a short golfing break hotel for groups, which we were unaware of. The menu was very restricted and never changed and most things were with chips. We spoke to one of the owners who very kindly arranged an extended menu for us but this was only on offer for 2 of our nights stay. He also arranged a roast beef dinner which was inedible. We were extremely disappointed with the food and the bar facilities. The pro shop was excellent and the staff very helpful, particularly as YGT had not booked our tee times so they had to fit us in, as the course was very busy. The spa facilities were also good. The rooms were, again, basic with a small wardrobe and no bath. The room wasn't cleaned during our 7 nights stay. Beds were made, coffee etc replenished and the toilet and sink were cleaned.
