Its challenging nature will prove a test for golfers of differing ability – with holes varying in layout, you will be required to move the ball both ways in order to pick up points.
Fortwilliam has hosted many qualifying events and pro-ams over the years. The 18th hole, with out of bounds down the right, fairway sloping in the same direction and many trees narrowing it requires the perfect tee shot in order to give yourself a chance of hitting the green in two. Not an easy finish to a round by any means and it doesn’t get much easier once you are on or around the green.
