The variety of tees on offer makes the par-73 track playable for visiting golfers of all abilities. The inventive design has made full use of the natural hazards presented by the existing land, providing numerous obstacles for players to negotiate. A previous host venue to the Sunderland Masters, is a testament to the courses quality.
Course management is the key around George Washington, where it is essential to position both tee and approach shots correctly to score well. Away from the fairways, there is a useful practice centre which includes putting and chipping greens, a driving range and a 9-hole par-3 course, ideal for honing the swing and sharpening the short game.

Clean comfortable hotel. Tho expensive to drink in. Even the staff were recommending that we drink at pub 10 min walk away rather than pay hotel prices.

I would score it less if I could. Buffet meal next to the pro shop Golfers not allowed to drink in the main bar (was asked to take our drinks to the reception) No food in the halfway house or milk for hot drinks (Only 3 chocolate bars) Facilities are poor venue run by teenagers who don't give a hoot Worst place I have been too shocking

Firstly we had great weather, course is a terrific layout with great variety of holes. Course provided a fair challenge for the golfers. Fairways in good condition, greens were immaculate - slow to put on- we are used to fast greens. Will definitely visit here again as the whole golf package was superb. Service and facilities excellent and staff all super friendly and helpful. We had a great weekend😎😎

Staff in the pro shop fantastic..! Dissapionting day two was on temps due to green works, felt this could have been avioded given only one green was seen being worked on through the round, a real shame as the group enjoyed day 1, temp greens off forward tees ment the round was pretty pointless so came off after 9.... A shame though because the first day was great,

Our group thought the course was in good condition especially after the rain that had falling unfortunately our time was ruined by the fact buggies were not allowed on the course 3 of our group could not play but the guys who did thought they the buggies could have been on even guy in the professional shop thought they should so that was disappointing

Friendly pro shop, Lovely course with a wide variety of holes to play. Greens little bumpy, but running well for time of year. All four of us enjoyed playing this course all 3 days which we were there.
