We really enjoyed every part of our visit. Food, course, facilities and staff were all great & very accommodating. the reason for the poor VFM was simply booking it through golf travel, we added up the 2rounds pf golf, the room and the dinner and we only saved £10. Due to me being pregnant and unable to golf, i had asked fir my rounds to be exchanged for spa treatment(s) however golf travel were unable to provide this which as a broker with the hotel is poor and therefore the "deal" was not a deal. Due to the staff being very friendly & accommodating, I have a feeling had i dealt directly with them myself i would have managed exchange my 2rounds (worth £120) for spa treatment(s) instead of getting a "reduced non golfer rate" and having to pay for my treatments.
The championship course adjacent to the hotel is an interesting heathland and parkland mix. From the course, golfers will be faced with spectacular views over the rest of the 360-acre estate, the Clyde Estuary and Ben Lomond.
