The club boasts two glorious 18 hole courses called La Jalle and Les Etangs which both have beautifully manicured fairways that weave through the stunning landscape providing a challenge for golfers all abilities. Furthermore, the course is just a chip and a putt away from the Route de Medoc making it a fantastic place for any travelling golfers to stop off and play. There is also plenty to do in Bordeaux away from the Blue Green Bordeaux Lac Golf Club such as visiting the numerous vineyards for players to visit in between rounds of golf or after an early 18 holes.

La Jalle

Par 72, designed by Jean Bourret and opened for play in 1978. Previously hosted the Bordeaux International Open

La Jalle is arguably the easier of the two courses with the fairways being relatively flat and wide the course is perfect for beginners and high handicappers. However, the course does feature a lot of thick rough meaning that an errant shot will not go unpunished and will still provide a challenge for low handicap golfers. The tee shot is definitely the easiest shot on the course as the sloping greens place an emphasis on accurate approach play and when on the putting surface, reading them is not as easy as it may look due to their quick nature.

Les Etangs

Par 72, designed by Jean Bourret and opened for play in 1990.

Yellow: 6,473 yards

Blue: 6,127 yards

Red: 5,692 yards

The French Junior Open Course is the newer of the two and is designed by the same person who did the La Jalle course. The course has slightly undulating fairways which place plenty of emphasis on an accurate tee shot or the ball can trickle into the rough. The course features plenty of water hazards and when you combine this with the sloping fairways it is better suited for the low handicap golfer as all the clubs in the bag are required. Furthermore, a player's ability to execute distance control with their approach shots is imperative in order to score low on the a round at the Les Etangs course as the fast greens are well guarded by both bunkers and water.

Furthermore, Blue Green Bordeaux Lac Golf Club not only boasts 2 fantastic golf course but also a number of different practice facilities that guests are invited to use at their leisure. Players can hone their long game skills on the fantastic driving range or dial in their chipping and putting in the short game areas. The club also has a 6 hole pitch and putt course which is perfect for beginners to practice and start on or low handicappers to practice their approach play.
