Golf Club de Sierre is a marvellous 18-hole golf course situated within the wonderful landscape of the Rhone Valley in the Southwest of Switzerland.
It is bordered to the north by the Rhone Valley, to the east by the village of Granges, to the south by the main Sion road and to the west by the protected area of Poutafontana.
Golf Club de Sierre is a must play for any golfer exploring the courses in this interesting and often understated area of Switzerland.
Golf Club de Sierre is a picturesque 18-hole golf course nestled within 55 hectares of lush Swiss countryside. It was originally laid out as a 9-hole course by the golf architect duo of Maurice Bembridge and Michel Zufferey, but was later extended to an 19-hole layout by Alain and Jean-Claude Renggli.
Today, from the back tees, the course stretches to 6,345 yards and plays to a par of 72. Each hole brags astonishing views of the Alps and surrounding areas – including rare species of trees, fauna and flora. Golf Club de Sierre provides a fair but challenging test of golf, with plenty of bunkers and water hazards to avoid along the way – the aim is to keep the ball straight if you’re looking to score low.
The Club is also able to boast a high quality club house which houses a superb restaurant and bar. The restaurant provides a terrific terrace for guests to sit when the weather is good, a varied cuisine (including a selection of local and international dishes) and an extensive wine list. You are guaranteed to find a warm reception from the dedicated and friendly staff.
