Golf-Club de Sion was opened in 1995 originally as a 9-hole layout; however the course was expanded to an 18-hole track and completely redesigned by the renowned Swiss golf course architect Peter Harradine in 2002. Today the course plays to a par of 70 and stretches to a length of just over 6,000 yards.
The fairways of Golf-Club de Sion are wide and forgiving, with the putting surfaces also relatively generous – helping to make an enjoyable round of golf for all standards of golfer.
However, Golf-Club de Sion should not be underestimated, especially soon after the hosting a major golf tournament - fairway width is reduced considerably and the semi-rough and rough are grown out – so the difficulty of the course can drastically change.
Golf-Club de Sion is also able to boast a superb clubhouse which houses a newly renovated restaurant. It provides the ideal place to enjoy a delicious regional speciality or just a refreshing beverage on the open terrace, which has stunning views over the golf course.
