The eastern giant's emerging fascination with golf has seen a colossal burst in new projects, with many of the most prominent course architects from America and Europe involved in new ventures.
The golfing boom has also attracted the tours and sponsors of the professional game, with a number of high profile tournaments heading to China in the past decade.
The brightest star in the Chinese golfing constellation is the astonishing Mission Hills resort, which at last count boasted 12 championship courses!
Named one of the most influential golf courses in 2008, the World Cup course at Mission Hills was considered a prime example of golf’s outstanding overseas growth.
The Olazabal course is one of the headline acts, having hosted the World Cup of Golf in 2009 and also a WGC event in 2012 where Ian Poulter secured the victory.
The Norman Course was quick to be recognised as one of the best courses at the resort, it is large, difficult, visually arresting and definitely not one to be missed.

According to the Guinness World Records, Mission Hills is the world's largest golf resort and who can deny them with 12 different courses designed by some of the great legends and architects of the game.
These include the likes of Greg Norman, Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, Jose Maria Olazabal, Vijay Singh and Annika Sorenstam to name a few and each course has its own unique style and feel.
Mission Hills has previously hosted the World Cup of Golf and Asian Amateur, whilst receiving multiple awards.
Shenzhen is located in southeastern China and is a large city that links Hong Kong to China’s mainland.
The UNESCO-awarded city has exploded in size after becoming a central economic zone in 1979 and you can soak in the amazing panoramic views of the city by heading to Diwang Mansion, which is one of the tallest buildings in the city.

Another way to see the landscape from above, is by riding the cable car, where you can then go onto climbing to the top of the Big Buddha after 268 pretty steep stairs.
