The Breton character ranges from the remote and isolated shores of the Crozon peninsula to the vibrant centres of Rennes and Nantes, but for the avid golfer, the most important factor will be the fine array of golf courses. Names like Dinard, Saint-Laurent, Les Ormes and Saint-Malo are fixtures of golf in Brittany, and present a superb blend of seaside links and lush parkland.
The travelling golfer can choose from quiet bases in the North, or head South for bars, restaurants and casinos, but heading out to the Breton peninsula for a golf holiday is entirely worthwhile.
