Despite not being Vietnam's capital, Ho Chi Minh City is the biggest city in the country, with approximately eight million inhabitants. It is a hugely popular destination amongst travellers around the world due to its commitment to developing the city with tourist attractions. Ho Chi Minh City has a lot of attractions to visit whilst staying here, starting off with the Bitexco Tower that has a sky deck set 68 stories high offering panoramic views of the amazing city. There are plenty of temples and museums to visit, however the Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the few remaining strongholds of Catholicism and is worth a visit on top of the beautifully designed temples too.
It’s safe to say the Vietnamese have absolutely nailed the coffee industry, so when visiting you have try out some of the coffee’s here which are easily accessible by pretty much every cafe or restaurant. Away from the popular tourist spots, you can find some of the most incredible local delicacies at Com Nieu Sai Gon in District 3, and you certainly will not be left disappointed with the meals here.
The nightlife can be very lively on the weekends in Ho Chi Minh City, where there are lots of different bars and nightclubs to explore, including a large collection of impressive rooftop bars like Saigon Saigon and Chill Skybar. Away from the crazy clubs, there are also lots of live music options including Jazz clubs to have a more relaxing lowkey night out.
Once landing at Ho Chi Minh’s International Airport (Tan Son Nhat) you are relatively close to all of the nearby hotels and golf courses an easy transfer. The only venue that will be best to spend more than a day at is when visiting Bluff Ho Tram Strip golf course as it is near the coast slightly away from Ho Chi Minh City.
