Accommodation at Hawkswood Country Estate

Hawkswood House has 5 bedrooms which can host up to 10 guests, and the beds can be both doubles or twins so it is catered for both groups and couples. The house also includes two reception rooms, a kitchen, a large sitting area with a flatscreen TV with Sky, an open conservatory that also includes a flatscreen TV as well as a terrace balcony which provides the ideal spot to enjoy breakfast or dinner. There is also a whirlpool bath for relaxation and perhaps the best bit, there is your own putting/chipping green in the garden so you can get all the short-game practice you need.

The Roundel follows a similar layout to Hawkswood House, however, the unique difference is a large round seating area that is very open and features a high ceiling which could provide the ideal space for relaxation or dining. As well as this, there are 5 en-suite bedrooms, 2 of which have dressing rooms and 4 of the rooms have super king size beds which can also be split into twins if required.

In the evening, whilst you have all the luxury you could need to host your own drinks or stay late at the Clubhouse, there are also numerous of bars and restaurants in the St Andrews area just 15 minutes away including the fine-dining Rocca Restaurant.

Hawkswood House and The Roundel are 1 hour from Edinburgh Airport and 1h 45 minutes from Glasgow Airport, and they can even supply transfers from the airport on request.

If travelling without a car, how easy is to get to the Golf Courses?

Hawkswood House and The Roundel offer Mercedes Shuttle Bus services on request for local trips or for dropping off at Golf Clubs.

Do you need a handicap certificate?

Male golfers are required to have a handicap of 24 or less, and female golfers are required to have a handicap limit of no more than 36.

Can I prebook a Caddie?

You certainly can and it is recommend. The best bit of advice that our clients would give to other golfers playing The Old Course is to get a caddie. Their local knowledge and experience round St Andrews is really helpful to navigating your way round the course especially for first time.
